About Us

True Crime Fanatic features comprehensive information about a wide range of criminal cases, including the details of the crimes, the individuals involved, and the outcomes of investigations and trials. We also strive to provide up-to-date news and analysis of ongoing cases, as well as interviews with experts and individuals impacted by the crimes. True Crime Fanatic is dedicated to sharing the most mysterious and haunting crime stories. Some of our features you wont find on mainstream podcasts or TV shows because we have hunted down the most chilling crimes that are not necessarily on the “radar”. Our research take us to both rural communities and big cities, to crimes committed by both men and women, to both children and adults.

True crime enthusiasts, like us, are drawn to the genre because it offers a glimpse into the darkest aspects of human behavior, as well as the investigative processes that bring criminals to justice.

For the past 15 years, Managing Editor, Liz Coyle, has worked in client relations for one of the largest criminal defense law firms in the Southwest. Much of her role is focused on public relations surrounding our clients and their cases, specifically what media interviews should be granted and what public comments should be made.  She has worked side by side with top former prosecutor-turned-defense attorneys to help clients get acquitted or negotiate plea bargains to reduce sentencing. This unique experience not only helps our team understand of both sides a murder or other true crime cases, specifically the arrest, evidence, prosecution, potential parole and more. But, it also really helps us get into the minds of the perpetrators as we have firsthand experience dealing with the during the entirety of a legal case and beyond. Liz has consulted with 48 Hours or 20/20 on the scope and perspective of a high-profile crimes and murders, similar to the case of the murder of Serena Kay and the brutal Samantha Runnion killing . She is regularly interviewed on podcasts and in the news regarding her take on newsworthy true crime stories and mysteries.

At True Crime Fanatic, we share stories of serial killers and murders that are both solved and unsolved. Some of our most read articles, include the McStay Family, a tragic case involving the disappearance and murder of a family of four who vanished from their home in California, and their remains were later found buried in the desert. Additionally, true crime coverage, like the viral story of Sofia Juarez, can bring public attention to cold cases and missing person cases, leading to new tips and leads from the public that can assist law enforcement in solving cases.
